Our aloe vera leaf powder is ground from the entire dehydrated leaf.  We use this ingredient in one of our exfoliating cleansing grains, as it is known for its soothing and moisturizing properties.  This natural powder is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, making it a perfect addition to our skincare products.  It helps to gently exfoliate the skin, removing dead cells and impurities, while also providing hydration and promoting a healthy skin barrier.  Aloe vera is packed with anti-inflammatory and healing properties, making it ideal for sensitive or irritated skin. Incorporating this ingredient into our cleansing grains helps to leave your skin feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and glowing. 

Arrowroot Powder, Organic, Maranta arundinacea

Arrowroot powder is a natural ingredient that comes from the root of the arrowroot plant, a tropical tuber native to Indonesia.  This ingredient helps to absorb excess moisture and oil from the skin, helping to reduce shine while also improving skin texture to enhance the skin’s natural glow.  Arrowroot is gentle and nourishing and also has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

Beeswax, Organic

Sourced from a local beekeeper/honey farmer in the Blue RIdge Mountains, this beautiful wax is of fine quality.  It produces a very fragrant, and clean product.  Beeswax is a beneficial ingredient to skin and lip care products because of the “wax esters” that exist in both beeswax and human skin and it’s these components that help to bind balmy-like products.  Beeswax is a naturally hydrating ingredient.

Black Cumin Seed, Organic, Cold-pressed, Unrefined, Nigella sativa

Our black cumin seed oil is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.  This oil also contains a compound called thymoquinone, which may stimulate tissue growth and facilitate wound healing.  It is known for being well suited to serums created to benefit mature, dry or inflamed skin and provide barrier support.

Blue Tansy Oil, Organic, Tanacetum annuum

Blue tansy is a powerful ingredient in skincare due to its numerous benefits when used topically.  This oil is known for its ability to support a clear and healthy complexion, making it a popular choice for creams and serums targeting occasional blemishes and sensitive skin.  Blue tansy is a member of the chamomile family and known for having soothing, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-fungal, and nourishing properties.

Butterfly Pea Flowers, Organic, Clitoria ternatea

Butterfly pea flowers come from a perennial herbaceous plant.  The flowers are rich in anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.  These beautiful indigo flowers contain high levels of anthocyanins, which are natural pigments found in plants.  Rich in antioxidants, this powerful ingredient helps to support healthy skin.  We use these flowers to make our butterfly pea flower oil infusion that is used in our Blue Skies + Butterflies Whipped Tallow Cream.

All of our floral, herb, and spice oil infusions are done using a cold infusion method.  These take much longer than a solar or heated infusion method, but preserve the most delicate and volatile compounds.

Castor Oil, Organic, Ricinus communis

Derived from the castor plant, this oil is extracted carefully so that the natural properties from the seeds are preserved without the use of any chemicals.  Our organic castor oil is also hexane-free.  It is known for its moisturizing benefits and also has anti-inflammatory and pain-reducing properties.

Cocoa Butter, Organic, Unrefined, Theobroma cacao

Our organic roasted cocoa butter is pressed from the roasted seeds of the cacao trees in Peru.  Cocoa butter is high in fatty acids, which help hydrate the skin and create a protective barrier.  In addition to moisturizing benefits, it contains antioxidants, protects against skin damage, relieves sensitive skin, and can even help smooth scars on the skin.

Sourced from Italy, this organic coffee bean CO2 extract is a big cup of strong, rich, smooth, and dark roasted coffee but for your skin.  This powerful oil is full of benefits for your skin, as it offers hydration, antioxidants to protect against sun damage, boost circulation, brighten skin, soothe irritated skin, and its antibacterial properties can help combat acne.

Our coffee infused jojoba oil uses organic dark roasted coffee beans that we grind up and infuse into organic jojoba oil to produce a rich aroma and caffeinated oil.  This infusion brings extra moisturization to our products, reduces puffiness, it can stimulate blood circulation, and the fatty acid component can help control excess oil.

Steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of Eucalyptus globulus, this potent and uplifting oil awakens all of your senses.  Aside from its rejuvenating effects, it also strengthens the skin’s natural moisture barrier, is anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and has antioxidants.

Our organic frankincense oil is steam distilled from the resin of Boswellia carteri.  Known for its soothing and grounding properties, it is a key ingredient in our Sacred Gifts Whipped Tallow and Sacred Gifts Renewal Serum.  This oil has a fresh, complex aroma with resinous, woody, and musky notes, creating a peaceful and relaxing experience.  Frankincense helps improve skin tone and clear blemishes.  It also has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and antioxidant properties.

French Clay, Organic 

French green clay, also known as sea clay, is a powerful ingredient in one of our exfoliating cleansing grains.  Mined from naturally occurring deposits in France, this clay has incredible absorbent powers that help to draw out oils, toxins, and impurities from the skin.  Its toning action stimulates the skin, making it great for clearing occasional blemishes.  The light green color and soft texture of French green clay come from iron oxide and decomposed plant matter, giving it a rich array of valuable elements.  When used in our skincare products, French green clay works to purify and revitalize the skin, leaving it looking and feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Grapefruit Peel Powder, Organic, Citrus x paradisi

Grapefruit peel powder is a versatile ingredient that we use in one of our exfoliating cleansing grains.  This powder is derived from the peel of the grapefruit, a citrus fruit known for its sour, butter, and slightly sweet taste.  Packet with vitamin C, fiber, potassium, iron, and calcium, grapefruit peel powder is not only beneficial for the skin but also nourishing.  When used in our skincare products like our exfoliating grains, this powder helps to gently remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and promote a brighter, smoother complexion.  Its natural exfoliating properties make it ideal for improving skin texture and revealing a healthy glow.  Additionally, grapefruit peel powder adds a refreshing citrus scent, creating a rejuvenating and invigorating experience for the skin.

Grass-Fed + Grass-Finished Tallow

Our tallow based products all start with grass-fed and grass-finished beef suet sourced from local Georgia farmers.  These farmers practice regenerative farming without the use of vaccines, hormones, antibiotics, or any harmful chemicals on cattle or land.  We visit these farmers regularly to pick up high-quality suet and render it ourselves into beautiful tallow.  Our rendering method ensures that the vitamin, mineral, and fatty acid content is not diminished or sacrificed during the rendering process.

Grass-fed and finished tallow contains a variety of vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids that are beneficial to the skin, such:

→ Vitamins A, D, K, E, and B12

→ Oleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, and linoleic acid

→ Some studies have indicated that tallow may be beneficial in helping with skin conditions such as dermatitis, psoriasis, dry skin, and wounds.

Our organic helichrysum oil is a powerful essential oil that adds a touch of earthy sweetness to our skin care formulations.  Steam distilled from the golden flowers of the Helichrysum italicum plant, this oil is known for its long-lasting and nourishing properties.  It is also known as immortelle or the everlasting flower, which is what gave our Everlasting Petals Whipped Tallow its name.  Helichrysum has many benefits for skin such as skin regeneration, wound healing, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial.

Hibiscus Flower Powder, Organic, Hibiscus sabdariffa

Our hibiscus powder is ground from dried organic flowers.  We use this ingredient in one of our exfoliating cleansing grains.  This natural ingredient helps to slough away dead skin cells, revealing smoother and brighter skin underneath.  Rich in antioxidants, hibiscus flower powder also helps to protect the skin from environmental stressors and promote a youthful complexion.  Its natural astringent properties help to tighten pores and improve overall skin texture.  Incorporating hibiscus flower powder into our skincare products helps to rejuvenate and revitalize the skin, leaving it looking radiant and refreshed.

Honey, Raw, Unheated

We source our raw honey from local honey farmers, also known as beekeepers.  Honey is a humectant, which means it attracts and retains moisture from the air.  This helps with dry skin.  Honey has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Jojoba Oil, Organic, Unrefined, Simmondsia chinensis

Organic jojoba oil is derived from the beans of a desert shrub and is known for its vibrant golden color and mild scent.  It is highly valued as a carrier oil due to its exceptional molecular stability.  This luxurious oil also closely resembles the skin’s natural sebum, making it the ideal carrier oil to pair with our tallow products and as a base for our serums.  Jojoba oil’s shelf life and stability is considerably higher than most oils.

Lavender, Organic, Lavandula angustifolia

Steam distilled from the flowers of Lavandula angustifolia, this oil has a sweet, floral, and herbal aroma.  Most people associate this oil with a sense of calmness and peace, but its benefits go far beyond that.  Lavender oil contains antioxidants, antibacterial, and antifungal properties.  

Lemon Balm Hydrosol, Organic, Melissa officinalis

Crafted via water-steam distillation of fresh Melissa officinalis.  Lemon balm has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and is rich in flavonoids and rosmarinic acid, helping to support skin health and preventing outbreaks.  Although the strong citrus notes found in the essential oil are not as prominent in lemon balm hydrosol, the remarkable character of this beloved plant is present in this botanical water.

Matcha Green Tea, Organic

Matcha green tea is a powerhouse ingredient in one of our exfoliating cleansing grains. Known for its high concentration of antioxidants, matcha green tea helps to combat free radicals and protect the skin from environmental stressors.  Its natural anti-inflammatory properties help to soothe and calm irritated skin, making it ideal for gentle exfoliation.  Matcha green tea also contains chlorophyll, which helps to detoxify the skin and promote a healthy complexion.

Myrrh, Organic, Commiphora myrrha

Our organic myrrh oil is steam distilled from the gum of Commiphora myrrha and features a warm, earthy, and resinous aroma with soft notes of spice.  Myrrh has antimicrobial, astringent, and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a natural powerhouse for skin health.

Oatmeal is used to calm dry, inflamed, and sensitive skin.  We use this ingredient as a gentle exfoliating ingredient in our organic cleansing grains.

Pomegranate Seed, Organic, Cold-pressed, Unrefined, Punica granatum

This luxurious oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of pomegranate fruit.  Pomegranate seed oil contains antioxidants, protects against sun damage, has healing properties, softens skin, and has anti-inflammatory elements that can help with swelling, pain, minor irritations and help with skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis.  It is especially beneficial for people with oily or congested skin.

Our steam distilled rosemary is a versatile ingredient that we incorporate into some of our skincare products for its numerous benefits.  In our formulations, this oil helps to balance oily and acneic skin.  It has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, astringent, and hydrating properties.  This oil can also help tighten skin and contains rosmarinic acid, which can help collagen.

Rose Petals

Our rose petals are handpicked from our very own rose gardens, which are organically grown without the use of chemicals, pesticides, or commercial fertilizers.  Our rose petals are always handled with care, and once dried we use them to make our rose oil infusion used in some of our tallow creams, balms, and serums.  

Rose infused oil can have many benefits for skin, including its anti-inflammatory and astringent properties, providing hydration essential to healthy skin, and helping to regenerate cell tissue and balance skin tone.

Sea Buckthorn, Organic, Cold-pressed, Unrefined, Hippophae rhamnoides

Our organic sea buckthorn oil is processed by using the entire berry with seeds.  Packed with essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, this oil helps to reduce overall moisture loss, supports skin regeneration and collagen synthesis, improves skin tone and texture, and helps fight inflammation and oxidative stress.

Spearmint, Organic, Mentha spicata

Our organic spearmint oil is steam distilled from Mentha spicata.  Spearmint inspires a sense of calmness while also gently waking up the senses with its sweet, fresh, and minty aroma.  It also has antibacterial properties and helps relieve itching associated with dryness and skin irritations.

Sweet Orange, Organic, Cold-pressed, Citrus sinensis

This sweet orange oil smells just like its name and is cold pressed from the peels of Citrus sinensis.  Sweet orange oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, helping to heal dry lips.

Vanilla Beans, Organic, Vanilla planifolia

We use grade A organic Madagascar vanilla beans to create our vanilla infused oils that are used in our serums, creams, and balms.  They are steam cured with the traditional bourbon curing method to produce a vanilla aroma with rich, creamy undertones.  Our supplier ensures these beans are triple inspected throughout their journey.  First, they are inspected by their farmers, second inspection is conducted during vacuum sealing for transport, and final inspection is done prior to shipping to ensure quality, smell, and appearance.

Our vanilla infused oils have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties.

Vitamin E, non-GMO

Our natural vitamin E is extracted using vacuum distillation from vegetable fats derived from non-GMO soy sources.  Our suppliers have verified that this vitamin E has been tested non-GMO from crop to finished product.  This ingredient acts as an antioxidant in our creams, balms, and serums.
